Petal Lover
A personal work of mine, inspired by the closing of summer and the music lyric: you’ve been locked in there forever / and you just can’t say goodbye.
I’ve always interpreted this line to be a nod to depression, specifically to my experiences with seasonal depression. As it nears the end of summer, I feel myself emotionally gearing up for the harsher fall/winter months and urging myself to remember summer happiness.
