A forbidden fruit
An exploration of a concept for my web comic Water Memory that features forbidden fruit. It draws from biblical concepts (Adam and Eve’s temptation), but more modernly represents a drug, an addiction, and a sign of emotional withdrawal.
Ideation & Sketches:
I drew inspiration across from pomegranates, small red berries, rambutan. Rambutan especially for its alien and otherworldly exterior that makes it seem enticing but also disconcerting to eat at first glance. Very much how drug abuse/drug dependency can feel.
